LION REFLECTION FOR PROJECT SCUBILION 2018

Dear Scouts,

Below are the images and reflection done by Lion Patrol on their Project Scubilion 2018:

“During this scubilion, we went to Pathlight School, a school for children with autism. Since we had not been with such children before, this was a completely new experience that opened our mindsets to how different everyone was. We were quite skeptical if our activities would go well at first as we did not know how they will interact with us. However, they were quite friendly and participated actively in the activities. We taught them cheers, knots, and track and trail signs. They picked up the new skills at a faster pace than we expected, and had mastered them in no time. Through this activity, we learnt how society has placed beliefs that such people are of no use, while we found them the opposite. We learnt how we could play a part in integrating them back into society. Finally, we have gained more confidence in communicating with such people, and this will surely help us in creating a more inclusive society for time to come.”
