Dear Scouts,
We are having the Diamond Jubilee challenge this year. The theme of this year’s Diamond Jubilee Challenge is the environment. We will think of one way to conserve the environment in our own means, and make a pledge. We will also take this opportunity to raise funds for scouts, because the funds we raise will be used for our own development and training. I’m sure all of you remember job week, and this is quite similar. You may go to relatives, family and friends to ask for donations, to support you in your training in scout. Please do not ask the public for donations, family and friends will do. When they give you money, get them to sign on the box with the amount given. You will also be given a small card with a QR code on it, go to the website and submit your “Green Nation Pledge”. Please do not write inappropriate things on this national platform as you are representing SJI in this submission. Discipline action will be taken against Josephians who do not do the right thing. Do not lose this card, if it gets lost, you’ll need to make a police report because others can use this to impersonate us and ask for donations illegally. Remember this isn’t a competition about who is able to raise the most funds, just do your best, like any Scout would, in fundraising for our unit and for the SSA.
Yours in Scouting,
Kenneth
